Description

Last weekend i was at a lanparty with the following setup:

LAN (192.168.x.1xx) <-> switch <-> (192.168.0.199) srv2k8-gateway/bridge (192.168.0.200) <-> Office(192.168.0.xx) <-> switch <-> modem/router(192.168.0.254) <-> internet

Without the gateway everything worked fine, but we required some bandwith management because of the slow internet connection, so we decided to install a gateway to limit each users bandwith to the internet but no routing or something at the lan side, everything was p2p on that side.
After setting up the gateway d-lan was able to find peers but not to browse them, after some checking we found that d-lan showed all peers as 192.168.0.200 (gateway-wan-side), we tried to fix some things in the gateway regarding multicast n stuff but nothing helped. We switched d-lan to ipv6 and everything worked fine then.

So, i guess there's some bug with the peer discovery method.

Support of multicast in IPv4 is not mandatory by the IP network nodes like your gateway, so I guess it's the issue. If you can see someone but can't browse their files I'm pretty sure it's because the other peer doesn't see you and refuse the connection.

I think the next version of D-LAN (1.2) will be in IPv6 by default.

Thanks for your report.
